Quinoa Wraps
Quinoa Wraps 🧡 I'm absolutely obsessed with these quinoa wraps! They’re a wholesome, naturally gluten-free alternative to traditional tortillas and are made from just three ingredients using a Vitamix or blender. Quinoa, a nutrient-dense seed, is packed with protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals—so each wrap is as nourishing as it is delicious. These wraps have a subtly nutty flavor and an extremely mild quinoa taste, making them a perfect blank canvas for both savory and sweet creations. Use them for veggie wraps, tacos, burritos, or even as a stand-in for crepes—the possibilities are endless. I love them as breakfast wraps filled with scrambled eggs, avocado, leafy greens, and topped with fresh herbs. For a sweet version, try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, or other warm spices to the batter. They pair beautifully with nut butters; my favorite combo is a thin layer of almond butter topped with sliced bananas and cacao nibs for a truly indulgent treat.
Quinoa Wraps
Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa, rinsed well
1 ½ cups filtered water
2 tablespoons chia seeds
Instructions:
1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water, then drain it using a fine-mesh strainer. Transfer to a large bowl and cover with water until fully submerged. Soak for at least 3 hours.
2. Drain and rinse the quinoa again. Add it to a Vitamix or high-speed blender along with 1½ cups water, chia seeds, and any optional seasonings.
3. Blend until completely smooth, then let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour your desired amount of batter into the skillet and quickly spread it into an even layer using the back of a large spoon.
5. Cook for 1–2 minutes, or until the edges lift easily. Flip and cook for an additional minute.
6. Transfer each wrap to a cooling rack. Once cooled, store leftover wraps in an airtight container with a small piece of parchment paper between each one to prevent sticking.
